1) Advertising- This event will take place over a 54 hour period from the time the gates open Friday at noon until the last round of disc golf ends on Sunday evening. We expect several hundred people to attend and with this being a camping event most people will be there the majority of the time. We take pride in the quality of our event from our website, to the design and printing of our handbills, posters, t-shirts, banners, VIP passes, and disc golf discs, to the quality and variety of live music both nights. Our plan is to hand out a minimum of 10,000 handbills throughout the area and at other events that match our demographic. The posters will be placed at many local music scenes in the Springfield area down into Arkansas as well and will be laminated and placed at all the local disc golf courses. The t-shirts will be handed out free to all disc golfers playing in Saturdays tournament as well as an uncertain amount to be given away at the gate (depending on the level of sponsorship we receive). Disc golfers are very passionate about the growing sport and they love wearing their tournament t-shirts everywhere they go so they become walking billboards for the sponsors of those events. This is not a one afternoon event where people are only exposed to the banners for a short time, we feel that the entire weekend provides much more exposure for our sponsors.  If your business has products or services they would like to sell at the event, as a sponsor, this is free, however if you require electricity you will have to bring your own generator, cords, and tables (quiet generators please). We are dedicated to your success as well as our own. Having a sense of community makes a difference for everyone involved. We appreciate our sponsors and will do everything we can to accommodate you if you choose to attend the event. 2) Charity- Rootsdeep and DISConnected are donating $1 for every paying customer that comes through the gate to the Care To Learn Foundation. This organization helps local school children in the Springfield and Nixa communities by supplying many basic needs, that some parents simply cannot afford, such as eyeglasses and hygenal needs. Care To Learn also provides Grants and Scholarships for local children. There are 4 benefactors (Wal-Mart, St Johns, Jim D. Morris, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation) who match every dollar raised. Basically, for every dollar raised it becomes $5. This is a wonderful charity that we are very proud to help and we hope you feel the same.

3) Helping Local Music and growing the sport of Disc Golf- We truly enjoy our local musical bands and this event is a great showcase for them to gain larger exposure. Lets face it, some of the best bands never got the right opportunity while some of the worst have had it handed to them. While we are not music producers we understand good music and want to do our part to elevate these bands to the point where they might get their big break. The sport of Disc Golf is one that has steadily been growing since the 1970’s. This past July the World Championships were held in Kansas City and it was the largest in history. 14 Countries were present to compete with over 900 players. Disc Golf is a sport that is played regularly by all age groups. It is now being played on the college level as well as being instituted into the physical education programs of schools across the country through the EDGE program. We hope that more people will begin holding weekend events like we are doing to help promote the sport.
